maybe a good candidate for inclusion in 2.0 would be http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43943 "shmcb crash on Sparc when compiled with gcc 4". It has been fixed with a noinline compiler attribute for 2.2.x in 2006 and the same fix applies and works for 2.0.x to: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=rev&revision=382799 Regards, Rainer
