Which part of 'X' doesn't compile? Can you post the compile errors?

That's only half-true. My patches are based off Peter Hutterer's
patches to compiz but his repo is using compiz that is almost 4 months
old now. [1]

You won't need patches to X to make the MPX stuff work, just the input
redirection stuff.
