I saw the same thing. I have thunderbird sorting my messages for me and often the number of mail reported in my inbox will be over 30 when there is no new mail in the inbox.
i use firefox 1.5.0.5 and on the server debian sarge with mysql 4.0.x and php4.3.x.
still there in the lastest SVN, seen with Firefox on both MacOsX and Linux. Thomas
