I didn't mean 'drop SMTP support' - I just meant SMTP handling is working 
already, so why spend any more time on it? In most cases it's not even 
necessary for a web application to speak SMTP at all, so lets see it as a 
bonus that it's in RoundCube already.

The argument 'sendmail is hard to configure' is of no importance because 
nobody needs to use sendmail.
