Yep - unless 4.x can introduce some hook for extensions to modify the POM model before becoming immutable, I don’t see us moving beyond for a long time (or anyone else now using our tiles-maven-plugin - which I’ve unfortunately not really had a chance to dive into seeing if/how we could rework it to support M4).
