Mario, You never got back to me on this. What do you think? I am willing to help add this functionality to the sandbox "focus" component if that is where you think it should go but I think it should go with the auto-scrolling stuff for accessibility reasons (i.e. no mouse). You are the more experienced Myfaces developer. Let me know. Chad Lyon Application Software Developer Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)

Let's say you are tabbing through the controls on a shopping cart page (in a mouse-less world). After changing the number of items in an inputText field you tab to a button that, for example, updates your shopping cart. You hit space bar to press the button (fire the action), the page reloads and your focus is back at the top. In a similar thick client app you would retain focus to the button you just pressed. Sorry for being ignorant, but whats the value for the user to have the focus reset on the last action component? Could you please explain this a little bit for me. If, I would like to have the focus set on the first component caused a validation error, else the focus should be on the first inputable component on the page. For sure, both scenarios can be solved by enhancing the focus component. Ciao, Mario
