where did you download your copy of OpenOffice? Did you use the official
download page www.openoffice.org?
I've never had this error message when installing OpenOffice which I've
been using for 10 years. But I hope someone from the mailinglist can
help you. :)

My os is windows 10 and no changes have been made yet to the system.
Plus open office 4.1.5 works on my desk top but not on my tablet. But
had been working on the tablet for years since both were down loaded
at the same time. Then 3 days ago I started getting the error message.
Error message = “general input/output error while accessing”
that was on anything I tried to do. I have made no changes to
anything on my tablet. I was working on it one day and next day went
on and this error message started. This is all I can tell you. I have
since deleted the program and tried and tried downloading program
again and same thing happened. So I completely deleted it again and
that is where I stand. The tablet is basically the one I use most.

exact wording of the error message you are receiving. This is necessary,
