The current RCalc is fine too, but overlaps with others, e.g. rCalc
http://rcalc.sourceforge.net/ a scientific calculator for the GNOME
desktop, or a resistor calculator.

Regarding iCaRuS: you wouldn't name a tool after someone who flew too
high and burnt his wings, would you? ;-)
