Hi

That was the exact procedure I followed after reading Wendy's posting about upgrading the
pom to 1.4-SNAPSHOT. I looked into my local Maven repository, and it does not have a
1.4-SNAPSHOT of MyFaces. I suspect that it is bombing out on the Shale master pom for
some reason before it actually gets to the phase ogf trying to download MyFaces. The
message about "dependencies.dependency.version' is missing for
org.apache.myfaces.cor:myfaces-api" might be the clue here. It might be an idea to
look into what the master pom says about the dependency.

The master POM [1] doesn't list any dependencies, so that seems
unlikely. I believe you mean 1.1.4 of MyFaces Core artifacts? Those
are released artifacts, not SNAPSHOTs. Again, not sure why you'd get a
missing version message on myfaces-api from shale-dialog2 since the
parent has chosen the version (1.1.4) which should simply continue to
hold.

OK, shale-parent should dictate the version. I svn up'ed everything
and clean install'ed in sequence.
