That how I feel too with most of the plugins I've written. I wish we could add a plugin voting/ranking system so we could see the most popular ones and which ones get the most votes. This would allow users to see which ones are high quality and which ones are more beta plugins. Most of the eclipse plugin sites I've seen have this type of functionality.
