This is good to hear and makes hope that the protocol shortcoming will be resolved in the near future. I will attach an improved patch in a couple of minutes. It does not contain functional changes, but - All code used for the bandaid is now conditional code - I made a comment about the whole bandaid, why we are doing it and that it should be removed once the protocol shortcoming is fixed. - I referenced this report in the comment So if you would give the patch a final test, this would be great. If I hear no problems from you about the patch and no objections from others I will commit it tomorrow afternoon to the trunk.
