How? Please tell. I'm running 4.4.0 (locally built) on a FreeBSD 4.10, G550 w/o HAL causes my monitor (DVI only) to say "No INPUT" and goes to sleep. With HAL, I get the "longer than 1 minute start up" 9 out of 10 times after "startx". The "HAL" was built from using Matrox's HALLib in their linux driver kit for 4.3.0.
