That's for version 2.0. Version's 3 and 2.5 have dealt a lot with these kind of criticism and attempted to fix the problems. Creative Commons recommends stating something similar to "This work is under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License", and then add the link to the license if it's a digital thing, or display the "send a letter to CC to get a copy of license" if it's non-digital. Attribution is akin to new BSD or MIT. Attribution-ShareAlike is more like the GPL.
