Hi I just recognized, that the xclock docs (manual page and "--help" option) are not up-to-date. Looks like that "-fn" option only works if you also specify "-norender" (Xserver rendering). "-fa" option works for specifying (antialiased) fonts rendered by Xft2/freetype2.
