As was said in QtDD11 ( I think was Lars or Thiago ), "with Qt 5.0 it's time to break binary compatibility"
What about this patch to be added to Qt 5? https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-840 A review of some methods to allow derivation ( means adding virtual on some of them ) must be done also for many classes in QWidget's hierarchy. Is there any plan to check bug reports / feature requests before Qt5 ?
