Sorry, I forgot to add that there is an ISA/PCMCIA adaptor which works fine.
You'll also need to install kernel-pcmcia-cs-2.2.16-22 and
wireless-tools-20-2
You install it, plug in the Wavelan/Orinoco/whatever_it's_called_this_week
card and run "/etc/init.d/pcmcia start". You should get two beeps of the
same tone as the card is detected and logs in /var/log/messages. If you
don't get two beeps, or they have different tones you haven't installed
the right packages or you have a hardware problem (make sure that the
pcmcia card is seated well into the adaptor).
You'll need a link in rc7.d to start pcmcia automatically on boot. You
may want it earlier than S45 - you'll need to experiment there.
You should be able to set all of the options in /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts,
but it doesn't seem to work for me, and this is noted in the later version
on wireless.opts for kernel 2.2.19:
# Note also that this script will work only with the original Pcmcia scripts,
# and not with the default Red Hat scripts. Send a bug report to Red Hat ;-)
I currently set my options through /etc/rc7.d/S46wvlan0, and haven't had
time to investigate further recently.
Thanks,
Gordon
