Well windows doesn't offer a decent firewall solution as far as I can tell. 
So whatever soultion should include a decent firewall.

Also, you need not spend such large amounts of money for a really fine 
firewall. I build a nice one, I will stack up against those higher priced 
ones, feature for feature, for $1k. You can too.
