Phil & other DFCers, Here's what I think is a VERY APPROPRIATE idea regarding Dr. Miller's book allotment. Why not sell Giff's books to DFC members -at a reasonable price, of course- and apply/distribute the proceeds to Mexican students who are planning on presenting talks to the Council in competition for the Robert R. & Francis H. Miller Award. (Perhaps if Giff Miller & Steve Norris would sign them, it might even sweeten the pot -and the price- a bit.) It would certainly help our Mexican students to offset their travel expenses. Of course, I'm not sure how many books we're talking about here. Perhaps it's not enough to have a significant impact..? In any case, it would be, IMHO, a very nice gesture to the memory of Fran & Bob. So what's not to like? Best regards to all.
