No, not the "fontwork gallery" but this tool:

With this very useful tool you can have text following a curve, or
shadow effects or... many other interesting things. This tool, present
on OOo since ancient times, was "hidden" on 2.0 for reasons I never
understood: you can only access to it by adding a button on a toolbar
(Category: Format; Commands: Fontwork), because there is no menu entry
for it.
Anyone know why this tool was hidden? If there were plans to replace
it, they were never realized...
Cheers
Ricardo

I can add the button in OOo v3.2.1 but cannot get it to do anything.

(1)
Draw something, for example a freehand line. Add Text to it (F2). Finish. Click on your object, so that it has green handles. Click on the fontwork icon. In the dialog click on the second icon in the the row above the alignments. Watch how nice the text follows the line.

(2)
Write a line of text with the T tool. Open the fontwork dialog. Click on the element upper left, which shows a half circle. Watch how your text arranges around a half circle.

kind regards
Regina

This one is really great! Now that I know it's there, I'll certainly have use
for it -- thanks!
