In a similar vein, there are/were extensions that can (^1) import/export: * .epub; * .fb2; * .mobi; * .LIT; * .PDB; * OSIS; amongst other file formats. Furthermore, there has been some discussion about migrating the code within LibO that imports/exports "obsolete" file formats into an extension. I don't remember if "obsolete" was formerly defined. From my perspective, any file format whose primary software for creating/editing had an End-of-Life more than 15 years ago, is "obsolete". There is also the issue of identical file extensions that are used for two or more very different file formats. By way of example, both Word Perfect, and Microsoft Works have extensions in common. ^1: More precisely, the extension developer claims that it does so.
