I think there is no need for a printable version feature, since css already have one...
just create a specific css for printing, where you hide all the elements in the page
you don't want to be printed, and link it using the media="print" attribute.
If you still think you need a particular export feature, with a link at the bottom of
the table just like for the csv or excel format you can now add a custom export view:
see DISPL-13 and the related documentation on displaytag site for details.

I was wondering how difficult it might be to just have a printable
version that could be exported. What I would like to see this do
is export the table exactly as it is seen to the user without
anything else on the page. This would include grouping, etc. I
would assume this to be fairly straight forward and it would save
me from having to create printable pages. If you wanted to steer
me in the right direction, I would be happy to implement this
feature and submit it for your approval.
