Incorrect header encoding in displaytag-export-poi
---------------------------------------------------
Key: DISPL-403
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-403
Project: DisplayTag
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Export
Affects Versions: 1.1
Reporter: Roman Kuzmin
Priority: Minor
When using not ascii encoding, new binary excel export based on POI works well,
besides one exception - it encodes header wrongly.
The reason is simple - in ExcelHssfView.java 2 lines should be swaped:
line 127:
cell.setCellValue(escapeColumnValue(columnHeader));
cell.setEncoding(HSSFCell.ENCODING_UTF_16);
it sets value BEFORE setting correct encoding. So header appears brocken when
it is not ASCII.
When I swaped lines as following:
cell.setEncoding(HSSFCell.ENCODING_UTF_16);
cell.setCellValue(escapeColumnValue(columnHeader));
and recompile project it started to work fine.
I think this minor bug should be fixed in official release too.
Note: for table data cells the order of the similar lines is correct, so data
cells are displayed well in official release.
BTW: Thank you for really good library !
