originally is:
HSSFCell cell = xlsRow.createCell((short) colNum++);
cell.setCellValue(columnHeader);
cell.setCellStyle(headerStyle);
cell.setEncoding(HSSFCell.ENCODING_UTF_16);
move cell.setEncoding(HSSFCell.ENCODING_UTF_16); to before
cell.setCellValue(columnHeader); ,make sure your value has been right encoding.
