Displaytag doesn't show the export footer

I'm working on a project with Struts and Displaytag, and I'm trying to export a
table in excel. The problem I have is that the table export footer does not
appear.
I followed the steps to configure the project (adding filter tags in web.xml,
setting the properties with setProperty tag) but it doesn't work.
Someone has any idea?
