Sorting the records after editing them by selecting the check-box on the same
page

Hi, I have a client requirement something like this. 1 Records must be with a
check box to select few records for editing. 2 After clicking on 'Edit' button,
I have to enable those selected records for editing at the same place while
others are read only. 3. All the columns are sortable.
I have done this using the displayTag1.1
But I am getting the following error.
-When it first loads all the resords, I am can only edit them or sort them, I
am not able do both like editing the records after sorting them. When I select
some of the records for editing after sorting clicking on some column, those
records are not becoming editable.
-And when I try to sort clicking on some column after editing the records,
sorting is not happening, link itself is not working on column (link not
appearing).
Please advice. Thanks in advance.
