Thanks a lot for your reply.
The data is exported unsorted. As I am not exporting the radio column and
stopping it to export using media = "html"
Work around I am using is, I have introduced a blank column after radio
column as
<display:column title="Select" media="html">
<input type="radio" name="rad" value="<bean:write name="row"
property="cusip"/>" onclick="assignValue(this)" style="font-family: Verdana;
font-size: 8pt">
</display:column>
<display:column media="excel"/>
This will get me the sorted data in Excel but it will introduce a blank
column in Excel.

I have tried the export with version 1.0 and 1.1 with following views.
export.excel.class=org.displaytag.export.ExcelView
export.excel.class=org.displaytag.export.excel.DefaultHssfExportView

I have one radio and two sortable String columns on Screen and for radio I
am using media as html so as not to export to Excel:

If I am not using media "html" for radio column sorted data is very well
exported but the radio column data also appears in the Excel in the sorted
format.
For this I am using media "html" and exporting data to excel is not able to
export the sorted data in Excel.
I can make out there is some thing to do the Excel URL

The URL is not the required one as it is still assuming there is radio
column available for Exporting.
