You can use a column decorator - check the docs on
DisplaytagColumnDecorator- then add to your table definition in the jsp
file as shown:
<display:column property="organisation" sortable="true"
decorator="de.mpicbg.db.endotrack.displaydecorators.OrganisationShortNameDecorator"/>
Obviously replace the details with your details.
