Has this bug been fixed? I've just implemented the PaginatedList interface on my list, and I'm using the "sortName" attribute on every column, but I'm seeing the "sort" parameter set to the property I reference in the <displaytag:column> tag; in fact, if I don't define a property and set it inside <..:column></...:column> tags, I get *no* sort name (ie: I see "sort=" in my HTML). I'm also using "sort='external'" on the table tag.
