I've googled, I looked at the documentation, I asked in #qmail and #djbdns on
EFNet, and my problem hasn't been solved.

so, I investigated some:

tinydns and dnscache have been in existence and operating on this machine for
approximately 6 months, so that is not the issue.  Anyone have any ideas?
