eGo2003: the e-government congress & trade fair for Europe’s regions
in co-operation with [EMAIL PROTECTED] - International Symposium

>From 7 - 8 October 2003, the eGo2003 conference in Duesseldorf
Germany will be the meeting place for modern governance and
administration in 21st century Europe. From e-administration,
e-democracy and e-education right through to e-business, all areas of
good governance will be presented and discussed at the trade fair and
congress. Decision makers from Europe’s municipal authorities,
regions and countries in government, science and politics as well as
decision makers from the private sector will be gathering information
about existing e-government projects, ground-breaking initiatives and
innovative IT solutions in Germany and Europe.

eGo2003 - go for good governance

As a joint forum for the transfer of knowledge and expertise, eGo2003
will initiate learning and growth between the EU states, focusing in
particular on the new accession countries. The aim is to increase the
transparency of existing e-government activities and intensify
competition amongst the different programmes. After all, the economic
development of Europe and its regions can only move forward with a
dynamic public administration. The intensive co-operation between the
public and private sectors is intended to increase the
competitiveness of the economy and thus promote the sustainable
overall development of the European Union.

eGo2003 - the competence conference

Successful examples of e-government from the whole of Europe, updates
of the EU programmes ”eEurope 2005“ and ”eEurope plus“, the latest
[EMAIL PROTECTED] projects from German municipal authorities: experts from
both EU states and accession regions will present the latest news and
good governance prospects from their countries during the eGo2003
specialist congress. Key note speakers from the EU Commission and the
German federal government, top-class speakers from the federal states
and municipal authorities as well as prominent figures from the
economy will explain current trends and developments in e-government
to visitors. With a separate section within the congress, eGo2003
will be addressing in particular politicians and government experts
from the accession countries in order to specifically promote the
transfer of knowledge in Europe between east and west.
