Internet Community Interviews President Clinton
via Web White & Blue 2000

WASHINGTON, Aug 11 /PRNewswire/ --

On Saturday, August 12, members of the 17 largest Internet traffic
centers and numerous non-profit sites will interview President Bill
Clinton with questions posed via Web White & Blue 2000. Visitors are
submitting questions through the network to be chosen by the
independent and non-partisan Web White & Blue 2000 editor. This is
the first time an aggregate of 85% of the Web has gathered in such a
forum, offering their 69 million visitors the chance to virtually
interview the President. Directly following the interview, members
of the Internet community will be able to see and hear President
Clinton answer their queries on the Charter Participants' sites and
http://www.webwhiteblue.org.

"The goal of Web White & Blue 2000 is to create a better educated
public and to encourage the millions of people who receive news and
information online to be actively involved in the election process
and to vote," said Doug Bailey, senior advisor for Web White & Blue
2000.

As part of Web White & Blue 2000's mission to provide balanced and
non-partisan election coverage, Web White & Blue 2000 has invited the
Republican National Committee to designate someone to participate in
a similar interview any time between August 20 and September 20,
2000. Invitations are also currently being extended to parties who
have qualified on enough state ballots to have a mathematical
possibility of winning a majority of votes in the Electoral College.

Thousands of non-profit organizations, schools, media outlets and
individual Web sites are also promoting the mission of Web White &
Blue 2000 and are joining the effort as Participating Sites. "Web
White & Blue 2000 is tapping into the Internet's dynamic sense of
civic pride," said Steve Clift, Web White & Blue 2000 Outreach
Coordinator.

"This is a way that Americans can be encouraged to participate in
the electoral process in a way that has never before been possible,"
noted Mike McCurry, senior advisor for Web White & Blue 2000. "This
is the Internet fulfilling its promise of educating and involving the
public in the electoral process. Through Web White & Blue 2000,
