Cool.  Thanks for diving into this.

One minor thing that I noticed that Dave was pretty insistent about using 2
spaces for indentation (no tabs) in the script files.

(I use textpad (www.textpad.com) for editing script files which makes it
very easy to change indentation to spaces.)
