I was able to fix the problems with comics.com on my local (php) program.  I'll 
make the appropriate changes to comx.xml and upload 
it here for evaluation/testing later on this afternoon or evening (I don't have 
a Windows computer here to test it on).  If all is 
well, we can get it committed upstream.
