> What OpenGL features/extensions does your application use ? I am told that it requires OpenGL 1.3, It is a fairly unique sytem in that it interracts with OpenGL through a version of FFI (see libffi now a part of gcc), providing an interface to a Smalltalk environment. I havn't explored the code much yet. > Can you try turning them on and off ? I don't know how to work with that part of the code yet, sorry. > Does it work with sofware rendering ? Yes, I have it running on my other monitor now. -- I can't turn DRI on the other card because both drivers would try to use /dev/dri/card0 and crash!!! Here are my results: Software rendering: WORKS (about 1.2 fps, if that..) ATI Mach 64 (PCI): WORKS -- minor image degradation as would be expected of a card of that vintage... (around 5 fps...) ATI Rage 128: Works, slows down dramaticly in some areas, has a number of visual artifacts. MSI 9250: Some demos work, ones that don't contain portals to other "fields". Ones that do have portals, segfault IN THE DRIVER CODE. > Why did you download Mesa from CVS instead of using stock > distribution - R200 had OpenGL support for a long while now. Basic troubleshooting.. I was trying to get my Mach64 to work so I installed newer drivers from my distro (gentoo). When that had trouble (running both cards at once), I tried the CVS sources (hoping the bug would have been fixed..) I continued to use that same DRI for the R200, That has had the results I mentioned above. -- Friends don't let friends use GCC 3.4.4 GCC 3.3.6 produces code that's twice as fast on x86! ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
