Sorry, I'm coming from the other end of things. I desperately want Mesa out of xc/extras, and the sooner the better. You are not likely to change my mind on this subject. ;) If you want the updated radeon stuff, check out Mesa in its own workspace and 'make linux-dri-x86', and you get all the updated bits in Mesa/lib. What you're seeing now is how hard it is to import Mesa into Xorg. - ajax
