I've been a bit lax on this in the past but its only going to cause
me further headaches if I keep fixing stuff up.

So any patches you want to go upstream need to show 0 errors on 
scripts/checkpatch.pl from the Linux tree.

I will accept some > 80 char line warnings if the code is at least
more reasonably readable with them.

I'm going to force myself to run this on everything from now on,
I just found out about git-mailsplit which makes it a lot easier.
