I'm temporarily assigning this ticket to you, as you are the primary maintainer of the Lyncode XOAI module.
I think we need your advice on an easy way to fix this in XOAI.
Several of us have glanced at the changes between XOAI v. 2.2.9 (supports JDK 1.6+) and XOAI v. 3.3.0 (supports JDK 1.7+), and it's not exactly clear what changes were necessary to fix
DS-1479(which was the bug fix in DSpace 3.2 which upgraded us to XOAI 3.3.0). Hardy Pottinger said he also has some notes on things he has tried, but he hasn't been able to figure out a fix yet.If possible, it might be worthwhile to release a new XOAI (e.g. a "backported" version 2.3.0?) which includes fixes for
DS-1479, but also supports JDK 1.6+. I know this would likely require some backporting between versions of XOAI, and I'm not sure how difficult that task would be.Any advice you may have would be much appreciated! Thanks.
