Hello, we are currently running DSpace 1.3. We have to decide about our upgrade path. We are eager to switch to manakin as our GUI. The step to DSpace 1.4 seems fairly easy as compared to DSpace 1.5 which e.g. forces us to learn about maven. We intend to switch to DSpace 1.4 and stay with that for a while.
Are there any drawbacks developing a manakin theme under DSpace 1.4, switching to DSpace 1.5 later? Has anybody done so already? Has it become easier to develop a theme for manakin with DSpace 1.5? Does this possible advantage outweigh the hassle we probably have to expect with switching to DSpace 1.5 first?
