Hi Hardik
I am not saying URL but URI(identifier),
When I open http://localhost:8080/jspui
and click on one of my DSpace community, click again on one of my collections
and click on title button, then click on title name of my item,
you will see info about that item,
on the web page that is what I see :

If you may check you will see that handle prefix on my
URI:http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/7178
is never changed to new one which i updated to 1900 like
URI:http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/7178, but the one that appears above on the
web page you will see that it has changed.
Remember this number i never got it from handle.net is just a number that i use
for test so that after it worked I will replace it with the identifier that i
will be getting from handle.net.
On my web brouser if i type http://localhost:8080/jspui/handle/1900/7178
it open the above page, the only problem is URI on the page and this happens
for only old files if i add item to a collection it uses 1900 everywhere as i
require even on URI:

Subject: Handle Prefix
Hello Mr Lewatle
As per your message :
on our test server i did setup handle from default 123456789 prefix to 1900
just for test before we request handle prefix from handle.net, the handle
prefix appear most places on our DSpace communities, collections but the
problem is the handle prefix(identifier) doesn't appear on URI.
I am not getting that the handle prefix(identifier) is not apeearing on
which URL.

Hi All
on our test server i did setup handle from default 123456789 prefix to 1900
just for test before we request handle prefix from handle.net, the handle
prefix appear most places on our DSpace communities, collections but the
problem is the handle prefix(identifier) doesn't appear on URI
On item i need my handle to change on URI: from URI:
http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/5027 to
URI:http://hdl.handle.net/1900/5027
when i updated my handle the script update-handle-prefix failed as a results
i updated my old identifiers(handle prefix) from database (in table handle)
to 1900 and modify dspace.cfg as well as handle configuration file.
Can anyone who changed her/his handle show me a way to do that.
Regards
Lewatle
