How did you do this in 1.5.1? I think that most people using Windows tend to use this approach: - https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Handle+Server+Setup+as+Windows+Service+%28using+Tanuki%29 This allows you to set it up as a Windows Service, so that it starts up automatically when the machines boots up.
