Hi all,

Is the fulltext of dark items indexed for searching in dspace? I had
assumed they were, but some sample searches aren't giving the results
I expect. We would like people to be able to find all of our stuff,
including the dark stuff, even if they can't currently download the
fulltext from our site.

Sorry if there's some obvious way described in the documentation to
turn this on -- I might be using the wrong terms but I'm coming up
blank. And I don't see anything in dspace.cfg that looks like it would
toggle this.

On a related note, assuming dark items are (or can be) indexed for
searching via the dspace UI, is there a way to pass on full text
indexing information of dark items to google and other search engines?
It seems like publishers allowing google scholar to index the fulltext
of password protected material, but I may be mistaken about this. If
I'm not, it would be a neat feature to consider adding to dspace if
it's not hiding there somewhere already.

Thanks in advance for any guidance on these issues,

Reinhard
