Hello, We have also encountered this problem (1.7.2/xmlui) - did anyone find a solution or could offer any advice?

I would appreciate anyone's help!! We actually had a user report this with the DSpace feedback feature on our site. This is confusing to users, because there no indication from the xmlui that would indicate the sorting failed or is incorrect. Any ideas why sorting on dc.date.isssued is failing, or where to start for troubleshooting?
