Hello, We are having a problem related to the Dspace increasing the number of file descriptors when making connections to the database and not releasing them. Thus, we get a lot of idle connections in the database until it reaches the maximum number of file descriptors. As consequence, it starts degrading the service and Tomcat has to be restarted.
We are using Dspace 1.8.2 and Postgres 8.4.7. I have searched in the release notes of Dspace 3.0, the list of current known bugs for Dspace 1.8.2, and the mailing list archives but I haven’t found an answer. Has anything similar been reported for this version? Thank you.
