Hi guys

When removing adverts I often like to open the saved mpg and play it near the
cut points, to make sure that the 'join' is ok.

To make it easier to locate the joins, I wrote a small script to convert a
*.dvbcut control file into a new version with frame numbers re-assigned to
match the post-cut operations - I'll post that if anyone is interested.

However, this enabled me to make a somewhat unfortunate discovery: the STOP
frame is not included in the cut operation.

Is this intentional?

I have been carefully aligning on the last "interesting" frame of a program - I
usually do this by eye, but suppose there is a sequence of black frames
containing a fading sound - then I also use the '->|' and '|<-' features to
pinpoint the end of the sound (hence my other recent posts).

Now I discover that my carefully selected final frame is not being included in
the cut! Aaaaargh!
(okay okay, 99.99% of the time no-one will notice. But still ...)

So: when I check the last frame 'visually' and the '|<-' button also seems to
confirm I have *just* the right length of sound - and I make the cut - do I
lose a frame's worth of carefully selected sound too?

I should have noticed earlier - If START = 0 and STOP=25 then dvbcut confirms
"25 pictures have been saved" - but 0 .. 25 is 26 frames. Doh.

Is this a feature or a bug?

Brian
