Actually the KP1-KP5 guys got the Congress involved last fall in a great attempt to get the FWS to open up KP1 and KP5.

In fact,  it was Rep. Rahall who was the sponsor of H.R.  1183.

Whoever has his ear obviously contributed big time to the Club Fed report.  It was very critical of the FWS for failing to be consistent on not permitting ham radio operations for others.

The problem is, by criticising the hams that did operate and causing the fuss while they were on the island the hams that are behind Rahall this time gave all ham radio a black eye.

It may very well be a different ham who had this temper trantrum and nothing to do with the earlier group.
