Jim & Larry--thanks for the responses! I am connected to K2UT---FRC node in Medford NJ usually---It is near to my QTH. I connect using TCP/IP protocol (com port), i.e. the internet. Receiving the spots in Dx4win works just fine. When I see the spot I have just announced, using 'Announce Dx' from Dx4win it always shows up in the remark column appended/following the remark without a space----with the spotter column left blank. I have tried other packet nodes in the past, with the same result! funny business---huh? Thanks again---Ed W3EWR
