These are the correct entity totals in DX4WIN: Current: 338 (Reports -> DXCC -> Summary)
Current + Deleted: 396 (Reports -> DXCC -> Summary (include deleted)) Some people have reported an extra country in the count. I helped one guy in Sweden fix his problem. First, close your logbook. You might want to copy your <call>.DXL and DX4WIN.CTY files from the SAVE directory to somewhere SAFE (floppy, USB drive, etc.). DON'T DO THIS WHILE DX4WIN IS RUNNING! Shut down the program first, copy the files, then restart the program. Now open the Countries database: Files -> Databases -> Countries The window that opens should show 1A0, Sov. Military Order of Malta If it is *blank*, then you should delete it: Country -> Delete Country -> Update Now check the LAST country: Country -> Last (or CTRL-L) If the prefix is ZZZZ, then you should delete it: Country -> Delete Country -> Update Now save your changes: File -> Save Changes and Exit If you want to be sure that the changes were saved, open the country database again, and check the first and last entries as described above. If you do not need to make any further changes, then File -> Cancel Changes and Exit. Now exit DX4WIN *completely* (shutdown the program). Finally, re-start DX4WIN, open your log and check the DXCC summary reports to make sure the country totals are correct. Also check your log to make sure that QSOs with the USA did not get modified (lost state/county data). If this does NOT fix the problem, and the count is still wrong, let me know and I'll see if I can help. If anything went wrong, restore your .DXL and .CTY files and try again. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 9 20:38:12 2008 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Mark K3MSB) Date: Wed Jan 9 20:39:22 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] Re: Cheap Multimeter In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sorry about that folks; that was supposed to go to our club members; don't know how I got the DX4WIN addy in there..... In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Kostas et al: WIth my DX4WIN 7.03 installation, I have noted that consecutive postings of TO5FJ /on the same frequency/ vary in color. That is--with TO5FJ in the log on 40 SSB-- three consecutive 40m SSB postings may show as yellow, gray, yellow (if "Alert unconfirmed country" is checked) or blue, gray, yellow (if "Alert unconfirmed country" is unchecked). I am more concerned about the lack of consistency than the color itself. I thought perhaps DX4WIN might be uncertain from posting to posting whether TO5FJ is CW, SSB or even RTTY. What do you think?
