Bernie, The latest versions of DX4Win work fine on Windows 7. You have to install DX4WIN with administrator privileges (right click on the file, run as administrator) or you need to install it at the C:\ level, not in Program Files.
But I sincerely suggest upgrading to version 8 which has notes in it about using DX4Win on Windows 7. Then your CW and Help will work fine.
