The main issue with Vista onwards is the Directory trees "Program Files" and "Program files (x86)" are not normally writable... a change long overdue. What I did to get around this was create a new directory tree I call "programs" and install there, along with some other ham stuff that would have the same issues. The only other issue is the installation of the LPT driver if you need it. Just follow the directions.
