Greetings -

First order of business: Jim, AD1C, thanks a zillion for all the time and
effort you put into databases and those cool utility programs. Let me know
if you ever get out to the Baltimore/DC area; I'll ply you with good food
and booze.

There appear to be inconsistencies in my LoTW record, and I wonder if any
others have similar issues, or if I am doing something wrong. A search of
the DX4WIN reflector archives turns up several issues with LoTW not matching
DX4WIN and how to cure that, but I find nothing about inconsistencies within
LoTW itself.

After doing a large LoTW upload, then a DXCC application (and waiting until
it was processed), I ran dx4wlotw.exe, went through all of the mismatches
and changed them so there were no mismatches between my Award Credit Matrix
from ARRL and the DXCC Listing report generated by DX4WIN. After doing
this, I would expect the CHECKED column in the DX4WIN report to match the
AWARDED column on my LoTW Account Status page, but they are different. Each
band score is different, and the DXCC Challenge score is over 100 counts
different. ARRL thinks I have credit for more countries than DX4WIN does,
in each case.

I decided to check by band, starting with 160m. ARRL gives me credit for
two more countries than DX4WIN lists as being checked. Selecting 160m, All
Credits, sorted by prefix, and comparing that listing to the Award Credit
Matrix, I find two countries on the 160m list that do not have corresponding
X marks in their respective boxes on the Award Credit Matrix. Clicking on
QSO Details for each of those QSOs shows that they are, in fact, confirmed
through LoTW. This is not a case of selecting the wrong QSO, or a QSO that
occurred before DXCC records were computerized. Both of these QSOs are
within the past few years, are the only 160m QSOs with those countries, and
show as confirmed contacts but do not appear in the Award Credit Matrix.

This does NOT appear to be a problem with dx4win or dx4wlotw, but strictly a
LoTW issue. Have any of you noticed this in your records? Is there a way
(an easy way, hopefully) to correct it? Many thanks.

73,

Mike Cizek W3MC
